Coopers Beach

Coopers Beach is Southampton Village's guarded ocean beach at 268 Meadow Lane, a broad stretch of sand with a pavilion, showers and a concession. It is the only village beach with lifeguards, and the only one where day visitors can buy a daily parking pass from the booth attendants. Swim between the guard stands during posted hours, and note that weekday coverage ends at five.

Know before you go

Getting in: Village of Southampton beach at 268 Meadow Lane; day visitors park with a daily pass, which is sold for Coopers Beach only.
Parking & transport: Daily parking passes are $55 per day, bought in person from the booth attendants; seasonal permits are sold by the village.
Lifeguards: Fully staffed with lifeguards: weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from June 20; weekends 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from May 23 to June 28 and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from July 4 to September 7 (2026).
Water quality: Suffolk County Department of Health Services monitors bathing beaches from May through September, testing marine beaches for enterococci and issuing advisories around heavy rainfall.
Season: Weekends from Memorial Day weekend, daily from June 20 through September 7 (2026).
