Main Beach Park, Fernandina Beach
Main Beach is Amelia Island's classic beach park, with four lifeguard stands, restrooms, outdoor showers and a long boardwalk along the shore. The Atlantic here is open surf, and the guarded water in front of the park is the place to swim from May weekends through Labor Day. Check the warning flag before you go in; rip currents are the main hazard on this open coast.

- Florida Department of Health Healthy Beaches Program samples the 'Main Beach' site for enterococci bacteria every 1–2 weeks depending on county (Good 0–35, Moderate 36–70, Poor 71+ per 100 mL); an advisory is issued when a sample and its resample both exceed 70.
