Mirror Lake Beach, Lake Placid
Mirror Lake is a small, mostly spring-fed lake in the middle of Lake Placid village, closed to motorboats and home to the swim leg of Ironman Lake Placid. Swim lanes stay in through the summer for training. The town beach on Parkside Drive is the only public swimming beach on the lake, guarded 10 to 6 from late June to Labor Day, and swimming is allowed only when it is staffed.

- Public beach at 31 Parkside Drive, operated by the Town of North Elba for the Village of Lake Placid; the only public swimming beach on Mirror Lake.

- Summer 2026: June 27 – September 6, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; swimming only when the beach is open and staffed by certified lifeguards.
- Water quality
- Operated under a NYS Department of Health permit (Sanitary Code Subpart 6-2). The town tests for E. coli before opening and several times around Ironman; results have historically stayed well below the state advisory threshold of 235 MPN/100 mL. The lake is also monitored by the Ausable River Association and Adirondack Watershed Institute.
