Brockwell Lido
Brockwell Lido is a Grade II listed 1937 pool in Herne Hill: 50 metres of unheated water, open all year and framed by its original 1930s buildings and café. Summer water runs in the low to mid twenties, while winter can drop to single figures and draws a loyal cold-water crowd. Since July 2026 it has been run by Lambeth Council's Active Lambeth, so book your swim through their site.

Know before you go
- Getting in
- Book lido swims through Active Lambeth (2026 prices: adult £9.50, child £6.00). A swim-only winter membership costs £140 for 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. Junior members may only swim when the water is 15°C or above. Active Lambeth took over from Fusion Lifestyle on 1 July 2026.
- Season
- Open all year. Summer water is typically 23 to 26°C; in September 2026 lido swimming ran daily from 8am to 3pm.

- Brockwell Swimmers (a club formed by lido users in 2016) hosts the annual summer club relays for London swimming clubs; Brockwell Lido Users (BLU), founded in 2001, is the independent user group, and the Brockwell Icicles winter swimmers re-formed in 2012.
